Although we do encourage inquiries of a general nature about our cemetery, we do not conduct extensive genealogical searches.

Anyone interested in making inquiries of this type is directed to visit our local public library and search their computerized CEMSEARCH program. Unfortunately, CEMSEARCH is not available for use on-line. Visit the Cobourg Public Library for hours of operation and other information.

CEMSEARCH contains information on all of the recorded burials in our cemetery as well as those of the old St. Peter’s churchyard burial ground. The program can currently be found in most libraries across South-Eastern Ontario from Bowmanville to Napanee.

Should an inquirer be unable to physically attend a library containing the CEMSEARCH program, the program creator, Mr. Ron Smith, has kindly agreed to either do the search for you, or recommend someone else who will do it.

Please direct any genealogical E-mail requests regarding our cemetery to Mr. Smith at rfrsmith@eagle.ca
