The Least of These
When Rose isn’t working as a waitress at Jack’s O’houlihans, she and her daughter Katie live in their car and do the best they can to make it from day to day. Rose’s past experiences have made her fearful and frustrated, and it comes out in her interactions with others, which can be identified early on when Rose serves a meal to Santa Claus in the restaurant she works for and also serves up a piece of her mind. The film follows Rose and Katie throughout a Christmas season that brings tremendous change to their lives. Katie’s love for Jesus is inspiring to Rose and often times makes her think more deeply about her faith and the way she treats people. The pair’s chance encounter with Mr. Claus himself set them up to receive more compassion and love in one season than they have ever known.
